Well located if you are stopping for the night, it is a bit far off the village if you are staying for a few days. Travelodge Lake George motel is located near the i87 exit, south of the village of Lake George. It has a restaurant or two nearby, but you'll need to drive a few minutes to get to most restaurants. Attractions are also a few minutes away ; it may be a good budget choice if you plan to go to the Great Escape, since it is only a 10 minute drive away.
All in all, a good location if you plan to stay a night or two, but if you want to be right in the middle of the action, you may want to look elsewhere.

Officially a 2-stars motel, Travelodge Lake George has mixed reviews. Most people are satisfied with the location (knowing in advance that this motel in not right in the village), but most of them talk about the fact that this motel is a bit run-down. The view from the terrace is nice and the continental breakfast is acceptable. If you don't expect anything luxurious or new and for the right price, it may be a good choice. I would recommend asking to visit the room first, since it seems that some rooms may be much better than others.
The Ups
Being on a hill, the view from the terrace is nice and the breakfast seems good. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the pool is inviting.
The Downs
Hotel and rooms are dated.
